Tool Kit Text 2
“The Greedy Triangle,” by Marilyn Burns, is a colorful story about a triangle whose curiosity about life as a four-, five-, six-, up to ten-sided figure drives him to continue to add sides to his shape in order to experience life as a square, pentagon, hexagon, etc. I have read this book to the class at the beginning of the geometry unit, and kept it in my room as a resource for students. Having had exceptional students with attention issues, this book is a colorful and interesting story which offers a different delivery of the topic. This will be just one of the resources I will have in my classroom to aid in differentiation.

This is great! What do students do when they listen to you read? What conversations do you have after reading it?
